How long does setup take?

Connecting AWS, GitHub and Google Workspace takes minutes. Your workspace is set up by our team after a short scoping call, with your frameworks, owners and existing documents loaded in. From there, a DPDP program typically takes about four weeks, ISO 27001 readiness about six and SOC 2 readiness about eight, depending on how much you already have.

Where is our data stored?

Steppe runs on AWS in Mumbai, India (ap-south-1). Traffic is encrypted in transit, integration access is read only, and every action is written to an audit log. If your data needs to sit on its own server and database, we run a dedicated instance for you. Our security page has the detail.

Does Steppe generate evidence?

No. Steppe can draft a policy for a person to review and approve, but evidence has to come from something that actually happened: a person's record or a connected system. A tool that manufactures evidence gives you a report your auditor and your customers cannot trust.

How is Steppe priced?

Steppe is licensed per framework, billed annually, and quoted after a scoping call so you only pay for what you run. Employees who only accept policies or complete checklists never take a paid seat.
